Meets expectations and performs very well. I am very happy with this kit because it does all it says and performs up to my expectations. I bought the rear wheel kit, and to only took a few times fitting the wheel into the drop outs to ensure proper spacing, washers, bolts for rear rack clear casette, etc. Took about 4 hours for an experienced bike mechanic to assemble. I also swapped my Kenda 2.25″ tire on to the rim because it was wider and matches the front tire. I like that the spokes are very thick, the rim is double wall and very stout. Although some of the wiring looked to be under size, nothing gets hot even after long rides at 10-15 mph. My top speed has been 26 mph. I really like the twist grip throttle and the display is large and easy to read, although polarized sun glasses will put a rainbow on the screen (as they do with many LCD displays). There is also a delay in the display reading out speed, etc when starting your ride. Depending if the battery has been disconnected, this can be between 30 seconds…

The included disk brakes will perform poorly. This is a good kit but by no means should you buy this because of the disk brakes.The main reason I bought this particular kit was because of the included disk brakes. If you ride 30mph you need good brakes. However the included brake caliper is a cheese grade caliper and WILL NOT WORK properly. The brake caliper included is not paired with the correct brake levers. The levers are short pull, designed for old style cantilever brakes. The caliper is clearly long throw and requires a different lever meant for v-brakes or long throw disk brakes. This means you will have to adjust the brake pads to be extremely close to the disk, meaning they WILL rub and braking performance will be poor. My 30 year old cantilever brakes stopped better. The brake pads also wear EXTREMELY fast and the brakes will need adjustment after just a few rides. This means pulling off the caliper and adjusting the pads with a tool, you cannot adjust these brakes while they are on the bike. Most mechanical…

I put 1700 km (1056 mi) on the odometer and crashed it several times (not the wheel’s fault) The wheel is apparently indestructible. The tire still has plenty of tread left. I switched the tire on a whim and the tread was gone in 70 km so great tire. I weigh 98 kg (215) lbs and I can get it up to 45 kph (28 mph). I get about 24 km (15 mi) from an 11.6 Ah lithium ion pack. Don’t skimp on batteries! Get a pack with good li ion cells like panasonic.just get this one: Make sure to get one capable of powering 1000 watts The sound of the tires on the pavement and the wind is all I can hear, not the motor. I have not found the regen braking to be appreciable and would not recommend you bother with it if you have other brakes. Not the best brake handles. I had to use the provided calipers because there is limited space and they work fine. Use thick gauge wiring for the main power. Get a bike with front…
